Originating from Vieux Fort, St. Lucia,  4th World is regarded as the best reggae band in the Eastern Caribbean, and its lead singer, Nijah “Coldsweat” St. Catherine, possesses one of the best and most unique voices in world reggae.

In 2010 4th World was one of the highlights of the Montreal International Reggae Festival, and since inception the band has been a perennial fixture of the St. Lucia Jazz Festival.  For example in 2010 the band was the headline act at the Soufriere Creole Jazz Festival and the following year it was one of the buzzes of the 2011 St. Lucia Jazz Festival  when it performed  at  Pigeon Island on the last day and grand finale of the event that included performances by  Taj Weekes, Trey Songz, and  John Legend.

Additionally, 4th World performed at the 2013 inaugural CPL, Jazz Finale in Vieux Fort, Jazz in the South in Laborie, Vieux Fort Jazz, and the 2017 St. Lucia Roots & Soul Festival.

From these and other performances, 4th World has gained much praise for the authenticity and originality of its music and the passion and veracity of its performances. As proof, the band’s debut album, Can’t Stop Us, was the winner of the 2012 National Arts Award for Album of the Year.

Understandably, 4th World is one of the most sought-after bands in St. Lucia particularly for events of national or cultural significance such as Emancipation Day Concerts, Musician Feast Concerts, Jounen Creole Festivities, New Year’s Day Concerts, National Telethon Concerts, and the Caribbean Youth-Fest Concerts.

Likewise, 4th World is a constant at some of the island’s top hotels and performs regularly for weddings, business banquets, and holiday season festivities.
