Did you know that the first St. Lucian novelist was Garth St. Omer (1968), followed by Earl Long (1995), Victor Marquis (2000), and McDonald Dixon (2000), with Stephen Dantes (2012) our most recent?

Our research indicates there are more than 47 novels by St. Lucians, and no less than 14 St. Lucian novelists of whom five (Garth St. Omer, Earl Long, Mc Donald Dixon, Julia Antoine [Ju Ephraime] and Anderson Reynolds) have written two or more novels.

Regarding St. Lucian Novelist, Dr. Julia E. Antoine, who publishes her romance novels under her pen name, Ju Ephraime, deserves special mention, since with more than 25 romance novels under her belt, she is by far St. Lucia’s most prolific novelists.
